Leki Wangmo farmstay is beautifully located on a mountain slope surrounded by rice fields. The view of Punakha valley from here is breath-taking. Walking to Leki Wangmo farmstay from Labtshaka lhakhang along the irrigation channel will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Aum Leki is a very welcoming host who loves to interact with her guests to practice her English. The house itself is rather new but very cosy. The view over Punakha valley from the front rooms is amazing. If the weather is good you can even have breakfast outside enjoying the panoramic view.
From here you can hike up to Talo village and Talo goenpa and to Norbugang village, the place where the four wives of the fourth king were born. Also not far is Nalanda Buddhist College where you can meet with the monks who are always eager to speak English. Leki Wangmo farmstay also has hot stone bath facility which is nice during the winter months.
